Success of America's Industrial Revolution Aided by Louisiana Heart Pine, 1820 - 1870

Fun Fact: Longleaf Heart Pine was used to build factories and warehouses during the Industrial Revolution. It was considered the most functional wood for construction in America during that time.

The trees were slow-growing (taking 200 to 400 years to mature), tall, straight, and had a natural ability to resist mold and insects.
